The public transport issue is irrelevant to parents like me who have maternelle and primary children. Those children will have to be accompanied to school by private car as it would be irresponsible and unlawful to entrust them to a mixed age range bus with one adult supervisor. I think the school should be honest and acknowledge that there will be no acceptable transport provision for those young children who, I believe, make up the majority of Lux II pupils. The only acceptable future for Mamer is as a secondary school and, as such, it is more likely to obtain the systemm of ramassage scolaire that parents of secondary children are asking for. The economics of scale would also make it possible for a Lux I primary in Kirchberg and a Lux II secondary in Mamer to offer a decent range of language sections. Gordon Mackenzie
